VamoLa!

VamoLa! is a Brazilian drum and dance ensemble that brings the spirit of Carnaval to life through vibrant parades and performances. VamoLa!'s main focus is on Rio-style samba, but they perform a variety of other music and dance styles from all over Brazil. VamoLa! means, "Let's go!" in Portuguese, and they do just that - they get people going!

Artist bio

VamoLa! was founded in 2000. by musician Tom Armstrong and his wife and a group of friends and community members that shared an interest in samba and Brazilian culture. Today VamoLa! Is still going strong under the direction Musical and Drum Director Grant Emory and a Steering Committee of Drummers and Dancers.
