Khmer Amarak Performing Arts

Workshop

MC Hammer Pants vs. Kabeun

In this workshop, we will teach participants about the rich and long history of Khmer dance and why we are working so hard to preserve it for future generations. Workshop participants will get to learn Khmer stretches done before dancing and about the elegance and strength of the divine feminine. Lastly, workshop participants will learn how to dress up a few Khmer dancers in a kabeun...and be dressed themselves! All genders are welcome and no dance experience necessary. Participants should wear shorts above the knee (gym shorts), or close fitting pants.
