Zakarya Baza grew up in Morocco. A culture rich in rhythm and a diverse mix of local tribal and global music. He was influenced by music from all over the world: Middle East, West Africa, and Latin America. Zakarya started Ecstatic Noise in 2016 with a vision to create an inclusive and relaxed hand drumming circle. His invitation is to organically co-create and merge rhythms and music. This, in turn, builds community that expands beyond the drum circle. Ecstatic Noise has attracted people from all backgrounds, ages, traditions, cultures, and musical experience range from people with decades of playing music to people that have not played any instruments before. This is where the magic happens!
